How do I connect my gaming system, smart TV, or streaming media device to the wireless network?

Gaming systems, streaming media players, smart speakers, and smart TVs cannot connect to the wifi-secure network. Instead, they must connect to the wifi-psk network.

Connecting to wifi-psk is a three-step process:

  1. Find the MAC address for the device - You can try to find the device's MAC address on your own by scrolling through the settings menu of your device. There should be a sub-menu with network information, including the MAC address. If you're unable the MAC address this way, do a Google search for "find MAC address" and the name of your device. For example, if you've got an Apple TV, enter "find MAC address Apple TV" as your search term.
  2. Register device
    • From the browser on another device, go to the self-registration page: https://enac1.westtown.edu/self_registration
    • Login with your short network username and Westtown password
    • On the welcome page, enter your westtown.edu email address, check the box next to “I agree to the acceptable use policy”, and click “Complete registration”.
    • Click “Add” on the device registration page
    • Fill out fields in the registration form:
    • User Name: automatically populated
    • MAC address: enter the MAC address of your device with no colons or dashes
    • Description: type of device
    • Click “Submit”
    • Your device is now registered.
  3. Connect the device to the wifi-psk network
    • Connect it to the wifi-psk network and enter the password "12345678".
