How does a student generate a Canvas pairing code for a parent?

To give a parent or guardian access to a student's courses in Canvas, the student must first generate a pairing code and share that with the parent. To generate a pairing code:

• From the left navigation bar in Canvas, click the Account link [1].
• Click the Settings link [2].
• Click the "Pair with Observer" button on the right side of the page [3].
• Copy the six-digit alphanumeric pairing code [4]. You will need to share the code with the observer who will link to your account. The pairing code will expire after seven days or its first use.
• To close the window, click the OK button [5].
