Ruvna for Students
In the event of an emergency or drill, Ruvna is the tool we use to notify the community about the event and quickly identify which students/faculty are safe and which require attention. For students, there is no software to install.
When the event begins, you will receive a text notification on your mobile phone. Read the message carefully and follow the instructions.
During the event, faculty members take student attendance through Ruvna. If you are not marked safe by a faculty member within the first few minutes of the event - either because there are no teachers in the vicinity or because you are off-campus - we will send you a text message to mark yourself safe. The message will look like this:
Click the link in this message (which is specific to you), and you will be taken to a page that looks like this:
Click the “I'm Safe” button to mark yourself safe. We must account for all students, regardless of whether or not they are on campus, so please click the link and mark yourself safe even if you are off-campus.
If we are in a actual emergency and you are not safe in your location, click the “Get Help” button. This will alert faculty that you are in need of assistance. You will then be taken to another page where you can enter notes to be communicated to faculty and administrators.
