How do I restore a concluded enrollment in Canvas?

When a student's schedule changes and they are moved out of a course, their enrollment is marked as “concluded” in Canvas. If you need to enter grades for a student with a concluded enrollment, follow the instructions below.

  • In Course Navigation, click the People link.

  • Click the three dots in the top-right to access the Options drop-down menu [1], then click the View Prior Enrollments link [2].

  • Click on the name of the student in the list of prior enrollments.

  • Click the "more user details..." link below the user Name and Email information

  • Click the “Restore this Enrollment” link

  • You should now see the student in your gradebook and be able to enter new grades.
