How do I view and approve my advisee's course requests for the upcoming school year?

Please follow the steps below to view your advisee's course requests for the upcoming school year:

  • Log into MyWesttown.
  • From the “Schedule & Performance” page, hover over the “Groups” menu and select your advisory group from the dropdown menu.

  • From the Advisory group page, click on “Course Requests”.

  • To view next year's course requests for a specific advisee, CLICK ON THE PENCIL ICON to the left of the advisee's name. DO NOT CLICK ON THE ADVISEE'S NAME - that will take you to the advisee's profile, and you will not be able to access next year's course requests from there.

  • This will take you to a screen that is almost identical to the course request screen seen by students. Under the “Selected requests” section on the right side of the screen, you will see a list of requested courses with buttons to Approve or Deny each request. To approve a request, just click the “Approve” button for that specific course.
  • Repeat for all of the student's requests, then click the brown “Save” button in the bottom-right corner of the page. If you skip or forget this step, the student's requests will not be approved.
