How do I turn on 2-Step verification for my Westtown Google account?
Introduction
- 2 step verification adds an extra layer of security by requiring a 2nd form of authentication to access your account. In addition to your password, 2-Step verification adds a quick second step to verify that it’s you. To set up 2 factor verification for your Westtown account, follow the below steps. Please note that you will need access to your phone to complete this process.
Instructions
- Open your Westtown Google Account (https://accounts.google.com/)
- Note: If you are already logged in to your account, you can either:
- Click your account icon in top-right corner and click Manage your Google Account
- Click Checkerboard icon in top-right corner and select Account
- Note: If you are already logged in to your account, you can either:
- In the navigation panel on left-side, click Security
- Under Signing in to Google section, click 2-Step Verification and then Get started
- You will be prompted to re-enter your password
- Click Show more options and select Text message or voice call
- Enter your phone number and click Next
- Google will text or call you with a verification code. Enter the code and click Next
- Click Turn On to finalize the process.
